investmentdr - You are so right!

But see there are forces ( read money and govt incentives ) behond this battery push, and no other alternative is getting as much force as this is!

As long as you can "cover up" where the emissions are then the lemmings will not know the real problems!

Bring on other alternative fuel choices!!!!

i am still awaiting the explanation as to why there is cache in trading the fossil fuel of oil (gasoline) for the fossil fuel of coal and the electricity it is mostly used to generate. Neither car fuel source is renewable nor low emitting. Fuel cells people!!!

"Nearly 60% of respondents were worried that the limited mileage of an electric car would hamper their ability to use one, while over 70% were worried they would run out of charge in the middle of a journey."

I don't see any information about how many people are interested enough to make a deposit for an electric car.

Hopefully the near future generation will look at traditional gas engines as relics.

If there is good infrastructure to support the electric car, then they can start to replace fossil fuel powered vehicles.

If the CEA is calling it "slowly warming", I'll bet the truth is we're actually statistically frigid when it comes to electric cars.

Well, I wonder who, what age group of people and which states the Consumer Electronic Association survey. If most were surveyed in only a few states, I wouldn't believe what the results were not valid. I have not intention nor do many of my friends will buy an Electric Car.

The fear factor from big oil is beginning to shrink and I hope Detroit does better with electrics this time around.
